Attention Senior Students and Families: The FAFSA completion campaign session is scheduled for Monday, February 23rd beginning at 9am in room 520 at Brooke High School. You do not need an appointment! Ms. Sara Rose from the higher education policy commission will be present to answer FAFSA/Financial Aid related questions and to assist in completing your 26/27 FAFSA.

Attention all current 9-11th grade students & Families. Please join the Brooke High School Counselors tonight at 6pm in the high school auditorium for an informational session on 2026/2027 course scheduling. The counselors will be reviewing the scheduling process for the upcoming school year as well as credit and transcript information. Also joining us will be representatives from West Virginia Northern Community College and Bethany College to discuss dual credit opportunities. We hope to see you tonight at 6pm!
The scheduling information night for families of current 9-11 grade students will not be held tonight due to weather. We will plan to host this session on February 3 at 6pm in the high school auditorium.

In-person classes are canceled tomorrow, but students should be checking schoology and emails. Tomorrow is a non-traditional school day for staff and students. Thank you and stay warm!!!

The BHS Choir Concert for this evening has been canceled. The concert has been rescheduled for Monday, December 8th at 6:30 pm in the BHS Auditorium. Thank you!!
BHS will be providing a school spirit bus for any student/staff member wanting to travel to Charleston for the state cheering competition. The transportation is free of charge. A parental consent form will need to be signed as well. Money to attend the competition is a ticket costing $14.50. The money for a student ticket is due Tuesday morning in the main office. Students will also need money for food in the event they wish to attend the event. The bus will be leaving BHS at approx 1:00 pm Wednesday and return slightly before or after midnight. Bus drivers will be assigning seats to buses beginning tomorrow. This should be completed by the end of the week. This will continue until further notice.

Students can pick up their tickets for the varsity football game vs Lincoln County in the main office of BHS on Friday, September 26, 2025 during their lunch period. The student tickets are Green this week.

In recognition of the critical importance of safety and security of students and staff, Brooke High School and Brooke Middle School ONLY, will be participating in an emergency evacuation drill in collaboration with Emergency Management System, Police, Fire, Rescue and Emergency services. This drill will occur on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 9:00am. Bruin drive will be closed to the public during this drill.

The Brooke High School Cross Country team competed in the Autumn Classic in St. Marys today. Both the men’s and women’s teams started the season out strong. For the men, junior Gavin Scott placed 9th out of 179 runners with a time of 16:57. On the women’s side, freshman Elizabeth Edgell placed 20th out of 123 runners with a time of 22:25. Great job by all of our runners today!
