Brooke High School is proud to celebrate senior Anneliese Schupbach for an incredible achievement! Anneliese has been named the Grades 9–12 winner of the Recycling Coalition of West Virginia’s Freedom Contest—a prestigious statewide honor recognizing creativity and environmental awareness. She was presented with her award this afternoon by a representative from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Youth Environmental Program, making the moment even more special. This marks Anneliese’s second major statewide recycling award, as she also earned 1st place at the West Virginia ReFashion Show—highlighting her passion for transforming recycled materials into meaningful art. Even more impressively, Anneliese’s achievement makes it four consecutive years that a Brooke High School student has earned this title—something our entire school community is extremely proud of! Congratulations, Anneliese! Your creativity, dedication, and leadership continue to represent Brooke in such a positive way. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💚💛

After careful review, we have decided to delay implementation of the Flex Period schedule for a year. While are very excited about this initiative, we want to enhance a few components to ensure it best serves our students. This additional time will allow for staff input and careful evaluation, with the goal of implementing the schedule in the 2027–2028 school year. If any changes to your child’s schedule are necessary, our guidance department will contact you directly. Our focus remains clear: to implement systems that are purposeful, effective, and centered on student success at Brooke High School.
