As part of his National Junior Honor Society project, 8th grader Ethan Arthurs wanted to do something that supports his church, Impact, and the wonderful work they do to help the AIM Women's Center. He collected an incredible amount of baby items which he personally delivered to the center to be distributed to the women. Ethan is extremely grateful for all the support from family, friends and the community that helped make his honors project so successful and meaningful. He hopes this will encourage other young people to give back and make a positive difference as well. Amazing job, Ethan!

🎨✨ Creative Minds at Work in Mrs. Turbanic’s Bruin’s Cave! ✨🎨

Today, our students put their imagination and creativity to the test during a fun and engaging Play-Doh activity! Each student was challenged to create a product—either a beautiful rose or a fierce dinosaur—and then take it a step further by developing a marketing strategy to “sell” their creation.

From catchy slogans to persuasive sales pitches, our young entrepreneurs showed off their communication skills and creativity in a big way. We saw everything from “the most realistic rose in town” to “the strongest dinosaur you’ll ever meet!” 🦖🌹

This hands-on activity not only sparked creativity but also helped students practice critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills—all while having a blast!

We love seeing our Bruins thinking outside the box and bringing their ideas to life. Great job, everyone! 👏💡

📚✨ Learning in Action at the Bruin’s Cave! ✨📚

Mrs. Turbanic’s Bruin’s Cave has been buzzing with excitement as students dove into researching their future career interests! From healthcare and education to technology, trades, and beyond, each student explored a pathway that sparks their curiosity and passion.

Students worked hard to gather information about the skills, education, and responsibilities involved in their chosen careers. They then showcased their learning by presenting their findings to the class—building confidence, communication skills, and a deeper understanding of their potential futures.

We are so proud of the effort, creativity, and enthusiasm our students demonstrated throughout this project. The future is bright in the Bruin’s Cave! 🐻💡
