Brooke High School Prom Information

Parents and Guardians of BHS Students,
Please provide your student with a written note for any early dismissal following one of our assemblies rather than calling the school. We would prefer that students bring those notes with them to school and submit them to the attendance office during breakfast hours.
Thank you for your cooperation and support!
Sincerely,
Mr. James
BHS Principal
BHS Dance Club Clinic will take place from 4-7 pm this evening and 10am - 12pm tomorrow. Tryout will take place promptly at 12:30pm tomorrow afternoon in gymnasium.

The softball game is now scheduled to be at Brooke today. Game time will be moved to 6pm and was originally scheduled to be played at North Marion. Come out to support the ladies today!!! They are peaking at the right time. #BROOKEPRIDE.
BHS Dance Team meeting and clinic dates will be postponed until a Head Coach is named. Job is currently posted on the county website.
Congratulations to our BHS Concert Band for earning a “Superior” rating today at the Region I Concert Band Festival at John Marshall High School!
The band received a 1 (superior) from all three judges. The band also earned perfect scores in every category from all three judges! A phenomenal achievement for a band that is mostly made up of underclassmen! It is also a significant improvement from our performance last year!
The band performed “Majestia” by James Swearingen and “Nevermore” by Brian Balmages.
Next stop? Disney World! Looking forward to our performance in the Magic Kingdom!! #BrookePride

Brooke HS Administration in conjunction with our FBLA students and Mr. Haught are sponsoring a free tailgate prior to the baseball/softball contests this afternoon. Time of the event is 4:30 PM in the lower lot. Come out this afternoon and cheer on our baseball and softball teams as they take on the Buckeye Local Panthers in the "Battle of the Bridge." Hope to see a great crowd today!!!
Brooke High School is proud to celebrate senior Anneliese Schupbach for an incredible achievement!
Anneliese has been named the Grades 9–12 winner of the Recycling Coalition of West Virginia’s Freedom Contest—a prestigious statewide honor recognizing creativity and environmental awareness. She was presented with her award this afternoon by a representative from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection’s Youth Environmental Program, making the moment even more special.
This marks Anneliese’s second major statewide recycling award, as she also earned 1st place at the West Virginia ReFashion Show—highlighting her passion for transforming recycled materials into meaningful art.
Even more impressively, Anneliese’s achievement makes it four consecutive years that a Brooke High School student has earned this title—something our entire school community is extremely proud of!
Congratulations, Anneliese! Your creativity, dedication, and leadership continue to represent Brooke in such a positive way. We can’t wait to see what you accomplish next! 💚💛

After careful review, we have decided to delay implementation of the Flex Period schedule for a year.
While are very excited about this initiative, we want to enhance a few components to ensure it best serves our students. This additional time will allow for staff input and careful evaluation, with the goal of implementing the schedule in the 2027–2028 school year.
If any changes to your child’s schedule are necessary, our guidance department will contact you directly.
Our focus remains clear: to implement systems that are purposeful, effective, and centered on student success at Brooke High School.
Good afternoon, Brooke High School 3rd 9 weeks report cards have been mailed home today to each child's primary address on file. Other documents include their attendance report, an April Memo, remaining Dates to Remember, along with information for juniors pertaining to sprint testing and senior immunization requirements. If you have questions pertaining to your child's course progress, please reach out to their teachers on Schoology or through email.
Have a wonderful weekend.
